New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in parts of India due to the return of monsoon. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that low-pressure areas of north-west India are likely to get heavy rainfall in the west coast, east and peninsular region. IMD is expecting monsoon returns from western Rajasthan only after September 25. The four-month monsoon will end on September 30, and the subsequent rains will not be counted in monsoon rains.
This year, the monsoon recorded more than seven per cent of rain. However, the percentage of monsoon varies from place to place. More than 29 per cent on the southern peninsula, more than 14% in central India, while in northeast India, the monsoon is more than 1%, but in north-west India, it has been recorded more than 16%. This means that three areas have received normal rainfall this year, while the fourth area has been more than normal.
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted less rainfall in the country after heavy rains in several parts of the west, east and Uttar Pradesh, which could lead to favourable conditions for monsoon withdrawal from north-west India.
