New Delhi: The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup this year has been moved to a different day, and eight other matches have also had their schedules altered.

The dates for ticket sales have also been made public, and a staggered approach has been taken to ensure that as many fans as possible have the best opportunity to see the best players in the world (more on that below).

The Indian and Pakistani match had been scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on Sunday, October 15; however, it has been moved up a day and will now take place on Saturday, October 14.

As a result, the England vs. Afghanistan game in Delhi will now take place on Sunday, October 15, rather than Saturday, October 14.

The crucial match between Australia and South Africa in Lucknow has been pushed back by 24 hours and will now take place on Thursday, October 12, rather than Friday, October 13. Pakistan's match against Sri Lanka in Hyderabad has been moved from Thursday, October 12, to now being played on Tuesday, October 10.

Similar to this, New Zealand's game against Bangladesh, which was originally scheduled as a day match for October 14 in Chennai, has been pushed back and will now be played as a day-night match on Friday, October 13.

The timing of England's game against Bangladesh in Dharamsala has changed slightly from the initial phase of the tournament; the match will now begin at 10:30AM (local time) instead of 10:30PM as it was originally planned.

With the doubleheader games between Australia and Bangladesh in Pune (10:30AM) and England and Pakistan in Kolkata (02:00PM) being moved one day earlier to Saturday, 11 November, there are three changes near the end of the league stage.

India's final league match against the Netherlands will now be played in Bengaluru on November 12 instead of November 11, and it will be a day-night match.

The World Cup begins on Thursday, October 5 with a match between 2019 finalists England and New Zealand at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, and it concludes with the championship game there on Sunday, November 19.

Fans will have the chance to register their interest here starting on August 15 before tickets go on sale.

25 August – Non-India warm-up matches and all non-India event matches

30 August – India matches at Guwahati and Trivandrum

31 August – India matches at Chennai, Delhi and Pune

1 September – India matches at Dharamsala, Lucknow and Mumbai

2 September – India matches at Bengaluru and Kolkata

3 September – India matches at Ahmedabad

15 September – Semi Finals and Final
