The Prayag Mahakumbh has already commenced with millions of devotees visiting the sacred confluence and taking a dip in the holy waters. As many as 2.5 crore took a dip at the Sangam of Ganga, Yamuna and Sarasvati on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Apart from the people, many sages have thronged to the largest spiritual gathering of the world.

Some of the seers are garnering attention for their unconventional life choices and the unique journeys they have opted for. We are able to witness some vivid and intriguing personalities at the grand event at Prayag. One of them is Abhay Singh, the IITian baba who came to the limelight on the very first day of the Mahakumbh. Here is an insight-

Abhay Singh is the talk of the Internet since quite a while now. He is not only grabbing the attention of the devotees who are visiting Prayagraj, but has also become popular among the social media users. The fact that he was an IITian was revealed when the interviewer took notice about Abhay’s manner of speaking and asked him about it. The sudden revelation even silenced the interviewer for 2 minutes.

Abhay Singh is a former IITian who studied Aerospace Engineering at IIT Bombay. He left a promising scientific career of an Aerospace Engineer and took on the path of Spirituality. Abhay said, “You look for the meaning of life. Even while I was studying Engineering, I took philosophy courses – Post modernism, Socrates, Plato to understand what is the meaning of life.”

Sharing about this stage of life, Abhay said, “I now understand that this is real knowledge. If you have to understand the mind or mental health, then you can do it (through spirituality).”

Upon being asked, “Iss awastha mein kaise prapt huye (How did you reach this stage?)”

The seer is quick to reply, “Ye Avastha toh best avastha hai (This stage is the best stage).”
