Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall on Friday morning, with several areas affected as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD)'s forecast of cloudy skies and light winds across the city and suburbs. The minimum temperature recorded on Thursday was 27 degrees Celsius, with an average of about 30 degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD's seven-day outlook, there is a gradual decrease expected in minimum temperatures alongside light to moderate rainfall. Friday's minimum is projected to be around 26 degrees Celsius, dropping further to 24 degrees Celsius on both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are forecasted to rise slightly from Sunday to Tuesday, reaching approximately 25 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures will range between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius, influenced by consistent monsoon showers that could bring a noticeable 4-5 degrees Celsius temperature drop.

Expectations of isolated heavy rainfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh during the first half of the week.
IMD predicts scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Interior Karnataka. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Rayalaseema, and Telangana may experience isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall during this period.
Heavy rainfall is anticipated in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on July 6, followed by Assam & Meghalaya on July 6th and 7th, and Odisha on July 7th. Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya may experience isolated extremely heavy rainfall on July 5th.
Isolated very heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu Division on July 5th, Himachal Pradesh on July 5th, Uttarakhand from July 5th to 7th, Punjab on July 5th, and Uttar Pradesh on July 5th and 6th.
