New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu addressed Parliament, assuring that the government is determined to investigate the recent NEET-UG paper leaks and ensure that those responsible are punished. She emphasized the importance of transparency in government examinations and called for unity in tackling this issue.

Speaking at the joint session of the 18th Lok Sabha for the first time, President Murmu highlighted the government's commitment to conducting thorough investigations and implementing reforms to support the aspirations of the country's youth. She stressed that creating an environment where young people can dream big and achieve their goals is a top priority.

President Murmu acknowledged the government's ongoing efforts in education and responded to opposition members who shouted "NEET" during her speech. She stated, "If there is any obstruction in examinations, it is not appropriate. Sanctity and transparency are essential in government recruitments and examinations."

She reiterated the government's pledge to conduct fair investigations and impose stringent punishments on those found guilty of paper leaks. The president emphasized the need for bipartisan cooperation and strong measures at the national level to prevent future incidents.

President Murmu also noted that Parliament has enacted a strong law against paper leaks and mentioned that the government is working on reforms in the examination process to ensure fairness and transparency.
