NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that as many as 96,000 applications have been received for 4,400 seats in Delhi's School of Specialized Excellence.
Inaugurating the Dr. BR Ambedkar School in Delhi, Kejriwal earlier said, the Delhi government has opened a new school in the national capital. Dr BR Ambedkar School has been made.
Kejriwal further said, ‘I am a resident of Hisar. Used to study in the best school there. Both my children studied in DPS Noida. But today the government schools of Delhi are better than those schools. The same education which he gave to his children, is now provided in the schools of Delhi.
Kejriwal stated during the Dr. B. R. Ambedakar School of Specialized Excellence's opening ceremony in DESU Colony, Janakpuri, "4,400 students are to be enrolled in Delhi's School of Specialized Excellence for the year 2023 and 96,000 students have applied for this." Education is the top among the priorities of Delhi's government," he said, underscoring the government of Delhi's priorities.
"After completing the eighth grade, students in Delhi can apply for admission to 30 specialised schools via an entrance exam. The teaching of IT and artificial intelligence in public schools is necessary in the 21st century, "CM of Delhi stated.
He added that students in the ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelveth grades will receive educaton in these Specialized Excellence Schools, with an emphasis on technical education such as medical engineering and other fields.
Kejriwal said, "Delhi's government schools are better than private schools for the first time in the history of 75 years, and Delhi's government schools are becoming an example as a model of education for the country."
