JAIPAUR: The Indian Railways has canceled the operation of cetain trains due to the derailment of two wagons of a goods-train in Rajasthan.
The incident of derailment occurred on the UP line between Asalpur Jobner and Hiranoda stations, within the Jaipur-Madar section of the North Western Railway’s (NWR) Jaipur Division.
Prompt action was taken by the railway administration, with the immediate deployment of the Accident Relief Train to the site. Senior officials have also arrived at the scene, working diligently to restore train services as quickly as possible. The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
Captain Shashi Kiran, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of North Western Railway (NWR), issued a statement, stating, "The derailment of two wagons, numbered PJCR and ALKP, of a goods train has impacted rail traffic."

Meanwhile, train number 19719 Jaipur-Suratgarh Express between Kanakpura and Suratgarh has been cancelled by the railways.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a collision between two goods trains at Onda railway station in West Bengal, which falls under the jurisdiction of the South Eastern Railway (SER) zone. As a result, rail traffic was temporarily suspended on the Kharagpur-Bankura-Adra line.
Furthermore, this marks the third such incident within the past month, following the tragic triple train accident in Balasore, Odisha. The accident involved the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and a goods train. The collision resulted in the loss of over 289 lives, with approximately 1000 individuals sustaining injuries.
