Karauli: The state government has accepted the demands of the aggrieved family in the case of a priest's murder in Karauli in Rajasthan. 10 lakh and a contract employee's job has been promised on behalf of the Gehlot government. Simultaneously, as per PM Mantri Awas Yojana, one lakh rupees will be given to the bereaved families. After this incident, the Potarra police officer has been removed. SDM OP Meena and Tehsildar Dinesh Chandra arrived on the occasion and discussions were held on protest from Dr. Kidi Meena. The Dharna has been scrapped after assurances of the arrest of the culprits.

The administration has also assured the family person of job on contract, Indira Awas, 10 lakh financial assistance as well as the arrest of criminals. Dr. Kidi Meena praised the social harmony and caste unity of the villagers. He said that even after the big episode, the village gave a message of social harmony. Earlier, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra had discussed with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot about the murder case of the priest in Karauli.

The Governor expressed concern over the issue. According to a statement issued by the Governor's secretariat, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot assured that the cases are being investigated and the culprits will not be spared. In Karauli in Rajasthan, the miscreants sprinkled petrol on the priest first, then set ablaze. The priest died at Sawai Madho Singh Hospital in Jaipur. The investigation into the matter is continuing.
