Indore: Festivals are not being enjoyed properly this year due to corona infection. Similarly, the upcoming Ganeshotsav tableaux and Muharram crowns have now been banned. Recently, the district administration has issued an order under Section 144 that no religious work, festivals can be organized in public places in the district. It has also been said that no religious procession or rally can be taken out. With this, idols, tableaux, Taziye, etc. will also not be installed in public places.

Recently, Indore Collector Manish Singh issued orders and the orders said, "The general public is expected to worship in their homes. Idols of Lord Ganesha and Mother Durga will not be performed in the Virsajan river, ponds, wells, bawdy, etc. Immersion of idols at water supply sites like Bilavali, Piplyapala, and Sirpur Pond, Jawahar Tekri, Yashwant Sagar, etc.'' On the other hand, it has been said that the SDM, CSP, Zonal Officer of Municipal Corporation, Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat, Chief Municipal Officer of Municipal Council will coordinate with the Chief Municipal Officer of the City Council to select the site for immersion and collection of Ganesh idols in each ward and make arrangements.

The municipal corporation will collect Ganesh idols for immersion at the said site. As per the order, these idols will be transported by the concerned person himself to these collection centers in a private vehicle. Not only that, the crowd will not be gathered while delivering the idols and no one will go as a group for immersion. There will be a complete ban on drums and bands. In Indore, Collector Manish Singh has banned the construction and immersion of POP idols and the order has been issued in compliance with the directions given by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
