Ujjain: French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenin visited Mahakal temple in Ujjain along with his wife. He saw Baba from the hall of Nandi as the entry to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple was closed. During this, temple priest Raman Trivedi offered prayers. Later, both the spouses also went to the Shani temple and the banks of the Shipra River. The Ambassador couple left for Indore.

The information about the arrival of French ambassador Emmanuel Lenin to the Mahakaleshwar temple was kept only till the district administration and police administration. Security was tightened even before the French ambassador reached the Mahakal temple in view of the ongoing protest against France in many Muslim countries of the world. Along with the temple administration, the police administration did not let the information about the ambassador couple reach Mahakal temple and visit. During the darshan, the media was also kept away.

After the Mahakal Darshan, the Ambassador couple also looked at the Shipra River. Visited the Shani temple at Triveni Ghat. After which both left for Indore. The district administration has refused to say anything about this visit.
