THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former President Ram Nath Kovind is set to inaugurate the Navapoojitham celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram in Pothencode, Thiruvananthapuram today at 9:30 AM. The event will witness the presence of Governor Arif Mohammed Khan as the chief guest. The cultural session scheduled for 12:30 PM will be inaugurated by Deputy Speaker Chittayam Gopakumar.
The public gathering at 3:30 PM will be initiated by Transport Minister Antony Raju. The Navapoojitham prayers are slated to commence at 5 AM, followed by the flag hoisting at 7 AM and floral tributes at 7 AM. The evening will be adorned with captivating cultural performances.
A warm and enthusiastic welcome was extended to Kovind upon his arrival at the ashram on the evening of the preceding day. Greeting him were Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi, the Ashram's General Secretary, Swami Nirmohatma, Vice-President, Bishop Dr. Mohan Manuel of the Lutheran Church, and Dr. Babu Sebastian, former Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University.
