Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has scheduled a live session on December 10 on his social media accounts, interacting with students from across the country. He will address the queries regarding the upcoming board exams and entrance tests.
He is expected to discuss the Central Board of Secondary Education’s Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE board exam dates, engineering entrance exams, JEE Main 2021 course outline and date, and the same for the medical entrance test, NEET 2021.
There have been demands for deferment of Classes X and XII board examinations which are usually slated for February-March. However, the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over and no schedule has been announced for any of these exams. Students are also demanding rescheduling of JEE Main and NEET 2021. The syllabus for these exams is also a cause for concern as several school boards, including the CBSE, have docked their syllabus for the 2020-21 academic year because of the loss of teaching hours caused by the pandemic.
Announcing the webinar, Pokhriyal wrote on Twitter last week: “Students, we know you have tons of questions related to upcoming competitive/board exams! In order to make sure that we cover most of your concerns, we have decided to extend the date of the webinar to Dec 10. Till then keep sharing your concerns using hashtag#EducationMinisterGoesLive!”
