Dyson has unveiled its first-ever high-fidelity headphones named Dyson OnTrac, marking its entry into the audio equipment market. The Singaporean technology giant, renowned for its innovative household appliances, introduces a unique feature set that includes interchangeable caps and cushions, allowing users to personalise their listening experience.
“With over three decades of expertise in aeroacoustics, we have perfected sound physics. Utilising our in-house anechoic chambers and skilled engineers, we have extended our knowledge into the realm of audio to create the Dyson OnTrac headphones,” said Jake Dyson, Chief Engineer at Dyson.
Dyson OnTrac Headphones: Know its Features
The Dyson OnTrac headphones incorporate advanced custom Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) algorithms. These algorithms, utilizing an eight-microphone setup, continuously sample external sounds at a staggering rate of 384,000 times per second. This capability enables the OnTrac headphones to deliver powerful noise cancellation of up to 40dB. Additionally, the headphones feature 40mm neodymium speaker drivers with a 16-ohm impedance, offering a frequency range from 6Hz to 21,000Hz.
In terms of battery life, Dyson promises exceptional performance with two lithium-ion batteries that provide up to 55 hours of playtime on a single charge when ANC is enabled.
The headphones are designed for seamless connectivity with smartphones via the MyDyson app. This app not only facilitates real-time soundtracking to monitor both in-ear and external volumes but also offers three custom EQ modes: Bass Boost, Neutral, and Enhanced.
Dyson OnTrac Headphones: Availability and Customisation Options
Dyson OnTrac headphones will soon be available in India, featuring four distinct colour options: CNC Aluminium, CNC Copper, CNC Nickel, and Ceramic Cinnabar. Moreover, customers can choose from over 2,000 customisable colour combinations for the outer caps and ear cushions, ensuring a personalised aesthetic.
This launch marks Dyson’s ambitious foray into the premium audio market, combining cutting-edge technology with aesthetic customisation to cater to discerning audiophiles and tech enthusiasts alike.
