Jaipur: Principal Ramesh Chandra Katara, accused of sexually assaulting six girl students in Rajasthan's Dungarpur district, has been sent to one-day police remand by a court here. In the police interrogation, the principal has made many surprising revelations. He has confessed that apart from school, he used to call girl students at private residences and rape them.  

Let us tell you that 6 students had filed a case of rape against the principal at Sadar police station. The minor students have accused the principal of their own school of molestation, obscene acts as well as rape. After a complaint from the Collector in the case, the accused principal was arrested by the police. According to the report, this case is related to the government school in Sadar police station area of Dungarpur city. The girl students of the government school in the village had recently lodged a complaint with the District Collector Laxminarayan Mantri along with their family members. In their complaint, six students of the school had made serious allegations against the school principal Ramesh Chandra Katara.  

The students said that the principal invites the school for various types of work, including watering the plants in the school during holidays. He later molests them. On the basis of the report of the victim students, a case was registered against the principal at Sadar police station. The police investigated the case. After taking statements of the victim students for 2 days and conducting a medical test, the police have now arrested the accused principal Ramesh Chandra Katara. The police have registered a case against the accused principal under various serious sections including POCSO Act and rape. The police is investigating the whole matter.

At the same time, BJP leader and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has targeted the Gehlot government over this matter.  "Our heads hang in shame in front of the children because temples of education are spread all over the school. The state government never tried to look at rape incidents from the point of view of daughters, on the contrary, they kept laughing in the House by linking rape to masculinity."
