Dehradun: Some changes have been made by the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand regarding education in madrasas, including uniforms in madrasas to revision of the syllabus. In fact, the NCERT syllabus and dress code will be implemented from the next education session in madrasas under the Waqf Board in the state. Shadab Shams, chairman of the Waqf Board of Uttarakhand, said the state government was making efforts to rejuvenate the madrasas.
According to the report, the dress code will be implemented in all 103 madrasas under the purview of the Waqf Board in Uttarakhand from the next session and NCERT books will also be applicable in all madrasas. Shadab Shams said that preparations are also being made to operate madrasas on the lines of modern schools. For this, 7 madrasas will be modernized in the first phase, including 2 Dehradun, 2 Udham Singh Nagar, 2 Haridwar, and 1 Nainital Madrasa.
At the same time, changes are also being made in the time and dress code of madrasas. Uttarakhand Waqf Board chief Shadab Shams said, "We have also prepared a plan to operate madrasas from 8 am to 2 pm like normal schools. We will implement this change in 103 madrasas registered with the Uttarakhand Waqf Board. The special thing is that children of all religions will be able to get an education in these madrasas.''
