DEHRADUN: This morning, today, April 27, the first pooja in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was held when the doors of Badrinath Dham opened for pilgrims.
The portals of Badrinath Dham, one of Uttarakhand’s Char Dham opened amid hyms of Vedic shlokas. There were a lot of enthusiasts there to see the inauguration. The process of opening the doors started at 4 am on Thursday. Officials said that Shri Uddav ji, Kuber ji, and Gadu Ghada were brought into the premises of the temple from the south gate.
In front of the administration and thousands of worshippers, Dharmadhikari, Hakhakudhari, and other members of the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, including the temple's chief priest Rawal, opened the temple's doors.
Chief priest V C Ishwar Prasad Namboodiri blessed everyone with offering special prayers to Lord Badrinath in the sanctum sanctorum.
"Prime Minister Modi's name was invoked during the first puja. The darshan of Badrinath has now begun for the summer. On the occasion of Kapatodghatan, 15 quintals of flowers were used to beautify the Badrinath temple, according to Ishwar Prasad Namboodiri.
On the momentous occasion of the doors opening, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami sent his warmest congratulations to all of the worshippers. The state government has made all necessary provisions to ensure the smooth operation of the Chardham Yatra.
The band's exquisite music and the worship of Lord Badrinath, complemented by the local women's traditional music and dance, mesmerised the devotees in the middle of mild snowfall and rain.
According to the guidelines of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the devotees were overpowered by the flower shower that came from the helicopter to welcome the pilgrims on the occasion of the Badrinath temple's doors opening.
In Badrinath Dham, a mass of worshippers had begun to assemble a day before the doors opened. Numerous devotees gained merit on the first day by seeing Lord Shri Badrinath and Akhand Jyoti in person at Badrinath. The Chardham Yatra has begun in Uttarakhand with the opening of the doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath Dham.
The Badrinath Temple, Taptakund, Narad Kund, Shesh Netra Lake, Neelkanth Shikhar, Urvashi Temple, Brahma Kapal, Mata Murti Temple, Mana, Bhimpul, Vasudhara Falls, and other historical sites around Bhu-Baikunth Dham all opened their doors. Additionally, a large number of visitors and followers has begun to assemble in philosophic locations.
