New Delhi: The Delhi Police team probing the Jahangirpuri violence case has so far identified 50 suspects through 300 footage. Some of the CCTV cameras installed in the area are visible during the violence, while some are visible in the footage made from mobiles on behalf of those present at the spot. Even after collecting information from people and checking their mobile location, evidence of suspects being in the area has been found. The police are conducting raids at different places in search of them.

The mobile phones of about 20 of these suspects have been switched off since the incident of violence and are also absconding. At the same time, based on the investigation so far, the police have also identified 30 such suspicious numbers, which can reveal many secrets of violence. According to sources, the Crime Branch is conducting searches at around 30 places from Delhi, UP, and Haryana to West Bengal to collect clues. Investigations have revealed that these suspects were also present at the spot during the violence.

The accused, Farid alias Neetu, who was arrested from West Bengal in connection with the violence in Jahangirpuri during a procession on April 16 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, has been handed over to the Delhi Police by the court on a two-day remand. Farid was arrested from East Midnapore in West Bengal on Thursday. From there Farid was brought to Delhi on transit remand.
