New Delhi: On the Shadipur flyover railway track of the country's capital Delhi, miscreants killed a young man by slitting his throat for just Rs 100. The deceased has been identified as Naseem Alam. However, the police have arrested the accused. The arrested accused has been identified as 36-year-old Lal Babu. At the same time, the search is on for the second accused Bhuma. Several teams of police are searching for him.
According to the report, on late Monday night, Naseem along with his friend Tauqir Ansari had gone to buy ganja. Meanwhile, the accused stopped Naseem and demanded Rs 100 from him to buy ganja. Bhuma and Lal Babu killed him for not paying the money. The police have also recovered the knife used in the crime and blood-stained clothes from the accused. DCP Shweta Chauhan said that the police had received information about youth being stabbed on the Shadipur flyover railway track late on Monday night. After which the Patel Nagar police station immediately reached the spot. After slitting his throat, Naseem Alam was taken to RML Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Since the area belonged to Delhi Cantt railway station, the police there registered a case of murder and started an investigation.
Along with the local police, the special staff of the Central District also started investigations. The police team started the search for the accused. Apart from scanning the CCTV footage, the eyewitnesses of the murder were questioned. His friend Tauqeer, who was with Naseem at the time of the murder, told the police that he was going with Naseem to the railway track to buy ganja. In the meantime, they saw Lal Babu and Bhuma. The accused asked Naseem to pay Rs 100 to buy ganja. When he refused, both of them started beating him. Meanwhile, Bhuma caught him. Whereas, Lal Babu took out a knife and slit his throat.
After taking information from Tauqeer, the police caught the accused Lal Babu after a chase of about two hours along the railway line. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the murder. The knife used in the crime and blood-stained clothes were also found from the accused. The police are interrogating him and searching for Bhuma along with him. Raids are being conducted from place to place in search of him.
