New Delhi: A father threw his two-year-old son down from a height of 21 feet in Delhi's Kalkaji area and then jumped down himself. The father-son duo, who were seriously injured in the incident, are undergoing treatment at the hospital. The father is admitted to the AIIMs trauma center. At the same time, the son is also undergoing treatment in the hospital. It was found that the young man's wife was living in the grandmother's house with her two children. The husband had approached her under the influence of alcohol and the incident took place.
According to the Kalkaji police station, at around 10.38 pm on Friday night, it was reported that a two-year-old child was thrown and the youth himself was seriously injured by jumping. The police team that reached the spot found that 30-year-old Man Singh s/o Johri Sarvodaya, a resident of Okhla's Sanjay Colony. Here his wife had come to stay at her grandmother's house with her two children for the past few days after a dispute with her husband. At around 6 in the evening, husband Man Singh reached to meet his wife Pooja under the influence of alcohol. Meanwhile, both of them started fighting. Then Man Singh threw his two-year-old son down from the terrace of the first floor of the house (height of about 21 feet) and later jumped himself.
The injured Man Singh is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Trauma Centre. At the same time, the son has been admitted to Holy Hospital. The conditions of both are currently critical. Kalkaji police have registered a case against the accused father under Section 307 of the IPC and started investigation.
