New Delhi: Three people of the same family lost their lives due to spurious liquor in the Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Two brothers among their uncles are dead. While consuming spurious liquor, a person's condition has become fragile. He has been taken to Lucknow for treatment.
The case is of Baba village Kataria falling under the Udaipur police station area. The death of the trio has stirred up in the area. After the incident came to the fore, the Superintendent of Police has suspended the head of the Udaipur and directed him to investigate the matter and take action. The family of the deceased has been mourned. The police have sent the body for post mortem.
Earlier, 4 people were killed in Chitrakoot in UP when they were consuming spurious liquor. Four persons including the district excise officer were suspended in the case. District Excise Officer of Chitrakoot, Chatar Sen, Excise Inspector Ashraf Ali Siddiqui, Excise Reserve Sushil Kumar Pandey, and Sandeep Mishra were also suspended after 4 people were died by drinking spurious liquor.
