New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will attend the traditional military parade of France to be held during 'Bastille Day' on July 14 as the guest of honour. In fact, today on Friday (May 5), the French President himself has given information about this by tweeting. According to a statement issued by the office of President Emmanuel Macron, 'the parade will also include a contingent of the Indian Armed Forces along with the French Army.'

Let us tell you that this visit of PM Modi is taking place in the midst of the 25th anniversary of the "strategic partnership" between France and India. French President Emmanuel Macron shared his picture with PM Modi and wrote in French and Hindi that, 'Dear Narendra, I will be very happy to welcome you in Paris as an honored guest of the 14th July parade.' In response to which the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the Prime Minister accepted the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron to attend the Bastille Day parade this year as a special guest on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Indo-French strategic partnership.

The Ministry of External Affairs further said that PM Modi's visit is expected to take India-France strategic partnership to the next level by setting new and ambitious goals for a wide range of industries, including strategic, cultural, scientific, academic and economic cooperation.
