Kurnool: A clash broke out at Holagunda in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday night when two groups pelted stones at each other. Some people from both sides have been injured in the case, although there is no clear information about the injured persons. At the moment, the situation is under control. Section 144 has been imposed in the town by the administration. It is alleged that when iftar was being organised at a mosque at Irla Katta in Holagunda town of Kurnool, the Hanuman Janmotsav procession passed through the mosque area. People in the mosque protested against the loud DJ which became due to the clash. Both sides attacked each other in which some people were injured.  

On the other hand, The Andhra Pradesh BJP has condemned the incident. Party state president Somveer Raju demanded the immediate arrest of those who attacked the procession. For the time being, the Holagunda administration has urged individuals to maintain peace. Section 144 has been imposed in The City of Aahtiatan. Kurnool SP Sudhir Reddy has reacted to the clash that took place during the procession of Hanuman Janmotsav in Kurnool. He said Vishwa Hindu Parishad organized the Hanuman Janmotsav programme at Holagunda in Allur, Kurnool. They used the DJ set against the advice of the police. When they went to the mosque, the police asked them to close the DJ set, but they stopped in front of the mosque and started shouting Jai Shri Ram slogans. At this, people of the Muslim religion started shouting slogans of Allah Hu Akbar.  

The SP said the police inspector sent the VHP workers forward from the spot. When the procession moved a little away from the mosque, they again started playing dj sets. The Muslim side raised its voice on this and a minor dispute broke out on it. As soon as we saw it, there was a situation of stone-pelting. By the time the police reached the spot immediately after the news of the case, the crowd had dispersed. SP Sudhir Reddy said there was stone pelting between the two sides for about 10 minutes. Based on the footage that we have collected, 20 members have been arrested. The local Circle Inspector said that the situation is peaceful and under control. There is no clarity on the number of injured persons and their status. Verification in this regard is going on.
