New Delhi: The Delhi Police's crime branch visited the residence of Delhi minister Atishi on Sunday to serve her a notice related to the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) claims of BJP attempting to poach seven AAP MLAs. Reports indicate that Atishi was not present at home during the team's arrival, but the crime branch awaited her return to serve the notice. In case she did not show up, the notice was expected to be delivered to Atishi's Officer on Special Duty (OSD). A video footage depicted the crime branch and media outside Atishi's Delhi home.

This development unfolded a day after a five-hour drama at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence, where the crime branch served him a notice, giving him three days to respond in connection with the AAP's allegations. Kejriwal was asked to disclose the names of AAP MLAs reportedly approached by the BJP.

Following the notice, Kejriwal shared a video on social media sympathizing with the police officers tasked with serving the notice. He expressed concern that these officers, meant to combat crime, were instead involved in a dramatic situation, attributing rising crime rates in Delhi to such circumstances. Without specifying a party or leader, Kejriwal mentioned in his post that "political bosses" were inquiring about AAP MLAs contacted for switching sides.

Last week, Kejriwal accused the BJP of offering Rs 25 crore each to seven AAP MLAs to prompt them to leave the party, with the alleged goal of toppling his government. In response, Delhi Minister Atishi conducted a press conference, claiming that the BJP initiated "Operation Lotus 2.0" in Delhi, asserting that similar attempts were made the previous year but were unsuccessful.

Following these allegations, a delegation from the Delhi BJP, led by Chief Virender Sachdeva, met with Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on January 30, urging a thorough investigation into the matter.
