Schools that have been closed for a long time across the country are now opening. However, with the opening of the school, cases of corona have also started coming to light in school children. Let me tell you all that there has been big news recently from Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh. In fact, at least 15 people, including 9 students, have been found to be infected with corona. The infection is said to have been confirmed in a test conducted at a private school here.

Six staff members along with 9 students have also been affected by the infection. Primary and secondary contact tracing of 190 people is also being carried out after confirmation of the infection. On the other hand, the district administration has started a mega testing camp in the possible cluster. However, the school has now been sanitized and strict covid protocol has been introduced. 

Amidst all this, Srikakulam Collector Shrikesh Lathakar has appealed to all to cooperate in curbing the spread of covid in the district. 25,000/- will be imposed on those who do not follow the Covid Protocol and if the shops violate the rules, they will be closed for 2 days. There are also reports that 87 percent of the first dose of corona vaccine and 65 per cent of the second dose have been received in the district.
