HARYANA: Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has ignited controversy by referring to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its supporters as 'monsters' during his speech at the Congress 'Jan Akrosh rally' in Kaithal, Haryana. This choice of words has drawn strong reactions from various BJP leaders.

In his address, Surjewala expressed his frustration, stating, "Instead of providing employment opportunities, they should at least allow individuals to have a chance to work. The individuals associated with the BJP and the JJP are akin to 'rakshas' (monsters), and even those who cast their votes in favor of the BJP and offer them support also fall under this category of 'rakshas'. Today, I voice this curse from the very land of the Mahabharata."

The video snippet of this speech has rapidly spread across social media platforms, with numerous BJP figures sharing it.

In response to the comments made by the Congress leader, the national spokesperson of the BJP, Sambit Patra, took to Twitter and wrote, "The Congress party, which has repeatedly failed to gain traction, has now resorted to verbally attacking the public and Janardhan. Listen to Randeep Surjewala, a Congress leader who seems to have lost his perspective while protesting against Prime Minister Modi and the BJP, as he labels those who vote for and support the BJP as 'monsters'." Patra also attached the video clip to his tweet.

Patra continued by drawing a sharp contrast, saying, "On one side, we have Prime Minister Modi, who represents the aspirations of 1.4 billion citizens, seeing the public as Janardan (a deity), and on the other side, there's the Congress party, viewing the public as malevolent beings." He further tweeted, "The citizens of our nation grasp this distinction very well, and they themselves will strive to lock away the colossal emporium of animosity."

The usage of such language by a prominent political figure has sparked a heated exchange between the Congress and BJP, accentuating the deep-seated divisions within Indian politics.
