These days the crimes against women are increasing day by day. In yet another shocking incident from Rajasthan where an MLA son is arrested for raping a 15-year-old, filming the act, and threatening her. : The accused has been identified as Deepak Meena, son of Rajasthan’s congress MLA Johari Lal Meena.

The accused was arrested by the police on Monday in a gang-rape case. The complaint in this regard was registered at the Mandawar Police Station in March last year. He was sent to a judicial custody. As per the information Deepak and four others were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for gang-raping a 15-year-old girl.

The victim belonged to the Dausa district of the state. As per reports, one of the accused even threatened the girl to upload video of the horrific incident on social media and even demanded extortion. Earlier the police arrested Vivek Sharma and Netram Samleti in the gang-rape case. The POCSO court and the High Court had already rejected Deepak's anticipatory bail plea and issued his arrest warrant. The accused had already submitted SLP before the Supreme Court.

The High Court had given orders to the Dausa Police to arrest Deepak before January 23. Johari Lala is Congress MLA from Rajgarh. As the matter is related to a political party. The Bharatiya Janata Party has lashed out at the Congress after Deepak's arrest. Satish Punia, BJP's state president, accused Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his government of protecting the accused. BJP leader Rajendra Rathod also slammed the ruling state government. The victim’s family also accused the police official for surpassing the matter.
