Jaipur: The Congress party has unveiled a list of seven "guarantees" in the lead-up to the upcoming Rajasthan elections. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, while presenting the list of guarantees, pledged to reintroduce the Old Pension Scheme and provide an annual allowance to female heads of families. Rajasthan's 200-seat Assembly elections are scheduled for November 23.

Here are the seven guarantees presented by the party:

An annual payment of Rs 10,000 to the female head of the family.
Purchase of cow dung at the rate of Rs 2 per kilogram.
Distribution of laptops or tablets to first-year government college students.
Free insurance coverage of up to Rs 15 lakh for families affected by natural disasters.
Assurance of English-medium education for all students.
Providing cylinders at Rs 500 to 1 crore families.
Restoration of the Old Pension Scheme.

While announcing these guarantees, CM Gehlot emphasized the importance of keeping promises made to the public and cited the party's successful fulfillment of previous commitments. He also commented on the Enforcement Directorate's recent raids on Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra's residences in Jaipur and Sikar as part of a money laundering probe related to the exam paper leak case. Gehlot accused the agency of targeting Dotasra because of his outspoken stance against the central government.

As the Rajasthan Congress seeks to retain power, it highlights its track record of good governance and social welfare initiatives. Meanwhile, the BJP is trying to seize control, claiming that the Congress has been indifferent to the "increasing crimes against women in the state." BJP MP PP Chaudhary expressed concerns about the safety of the common people in Rajasthan and criticized the Congress for poor governance, citing issues related to the safety of minors and women in the state. The Congress has put forward a series of promises to secure the trust of voters as they head into the election.
