Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that classes from 1 to 8 will be closed in the state till March 31 due to COVID19. The upcoming academic session will start from 1 April 2021. Classes 1 to 8 will be evaluated on the basis of project work. Board exams of class 10th and 12th will be taken and their classes will start soon. Social distancing and other precautions will be fully observed in the classrooms. Students of classes 9 and 11 will be called to school 1 or 2 days a week.
- Do not charge other than private school tuition fees
-Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that during the period in which private schools are closed due to covid, they should not charge other than tuition fees for that period. This order should be strictly enforced.
- KG-1 and KG-2 classes to be started in 1500 schools
-Under the new education policy, KG-1 and KG-2 classes will be started in 1500 government schools in the state in the first phase.
- Knowledge skills as well as moral education
-Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have to implement such education system in the state through which students can be made good along with imparting knowledge and skills. Special emphasis has to be given on moral education.
- Self-help groups will make uniforms and they will also purchase cloth
-Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that uniform self-help groups to be provided to school students in the state will be prepared and they will also purchase clothes for that.
- If you teach well then keep the same guest teacher next year
-Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that guest teachers who teach well should be kept in the same school next year as well. Provision for honorarium increase every year should also be made. Special attention should be paid to the quality of education.
- Reward those who do innovative work
-Teachers doing excellent teaching work in government schools and making innovative experiments in educational activity should be rewarded.
- Parent-teacher union meetings are mandatory in every school
-Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that foster-teacher union meetings should be held regularly in every government school. Ministers should also be present in these meetings.
- Create a detailed action plan for 10 thousand schools of high quality
-Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a detailed action plan should be prepared yearly for 10 thousand high quality schools to be opened in the state in the next 3 years.
