The pivotal mark for the 90-seat Chhattisgarh assembly stands at 46, with the vote tally commencing at 8 am in designated counting centers.
Singh vehemently criticized Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, citing alleged corruption issues. He emphasized the BJP's manifesto, emphasizing its comprehensive outreach across societal segments, predicting its significant impact on the state's election outcome.
While exit polls favored the Congress in Chhattisgarh, suggesting a probable return to power for the ruling party, the BJP is anticipated to present a formidable challenge unlike its performance in the 2018 polls.
Chhattisgarh conducted voting in two phases on November 7 and 17.
Conversely, the vote counting in Mizoram, part of the five states that went to polls last month, has been rescheduled to Monday, December 4, as announced by the Election Commission (EC).
The vote count encompasses 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 90 in Chhattisgarh, 119 in Telangana, and 199 in Rajasthan.
In the 2018 elections, the Congress secured 68 seats in Chhattisgarh, with the BJP clinching 15. Additionally, Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) secured five seats, while the Bahujan Samaj Party claimed two.
These state polls, spanning northern, eastern, and southern regions of the country, are precursors to the impending Lok Sabha elections.
