Uttrakhand-Dehradun: An official letter from the Additional Chief Secretary on Friday stated that the daily cap restricting the number of devotees for the Chardham Yatra has been withdrawn On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

The letter mentioned that the registration process, both online and offline, will not change because it is important for keeping track of followers.

After spending the winter in Ukhimath, the Panchmukhi Utsav Doli of Baba Kedarnath departed for the Himalayas on Friday. On this occasion, thousands of worshippers have come to the Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath.

Baba's Doli reached Gupta Kashi Vishwanath temple on Friday for the first night stay. The additional stay of this Bardoli is happening in Guptkashi. The Doli will reach Kedarnath on April 24.

The auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, April 22, marks the start of the Char Dham yatra. On April 25, the Kedarnath Dham doors will open, and on April 22, the Gangotri Dham doors. Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, secretary of the state health department, issued a health warning for pilgrims on Wednesday as the Char Dham Yatra was about to begin in Uttarakhand.

Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the state government has taken the necessary preparations for the Char Dham Yatra-2023 while taking part in the simulated exercise programme on Thursday that was hosted by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

A statement from an official source read, " On the occasion, Chief Minister Dhami also did a virtual observation of the mock exercise being done for disaster management on the Char Dham Yatra routes,"
