2;30 PM- Chandrayaan-3 Launch LIVE Updates: The final countdown for the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Chandrayaan-3 mission has begun. The mission is set to launch from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, at 2:35 PM IST on Friday, July 14.
Chandrayaan-3 aims to build upon the previous Chandrayaan-2 mission and demonstrate various capabilities, including reaching the moon's orbit, conducting a soft landing on the lunar surface using a lander, and deploying a rover to study the moon's surface.
After lift-off, approximately 16 minutes into the mission, the propulsion module is expected to separate from the rocket. It will then orbit the Earth in an elliptical cycle, with the closest point being 170 km and the farthest point being 36,500 km from Earth, gradually moving towards the lunar orbit.
