New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revealed significant irregularities following surprise inspections conducted at 27 affiliated schools in Rajasthan and the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.

The inspections were carried out to ensure compliance with the Board's Affiliation Bye-Laws and to verify that schools are adhering to the established norms. According to an official CBSE release, many of the inspected schools were found to have breached these bye-laws by enrolling students beyond their actual attendance records, effectively creating "dummy" enrolments.

In addition to enrollment violations, several schools were also found to be in violation of the CBSE's infrastructural standards. In response to these serious infractions, CBSE is issuing show-cause notices to the offending institutions. Legal action is being considered against those schools that are found to be non-compliant with the regulations, as stated in the release.
