Lucknow: An encounter took place between the police and the miscreants in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, in which Rajesh, a rewardee of Rs 1.5 lakh, was killed. Rajesh had more than 50 cases registered against him, including robbery, dacoity, and gangster-related crimes. He was a resident of Sihalinagar village in Aahar area of ​​​​Bulandshahr. This encounter was led by Anupshahr CO Girja Shankar Tripathi. The police came to know about Rajesh's location from the informer, after which they surrounded him. When the police asked him to surrender, he started firing. He was shot in retaliatory firing, which led to his death. Aahar police station in-charge and a constable have also been injured in this encounter.
Apart from this, Bulandshahr police had another encounter on the night of October 12. Two miscreants named Babulal and Golu were arrested in this encounter. This encounter took place when the police were checking suspicious vehicles in Khurja Nagar. When the police signaled two suspects riding a bike to stop, they tried to run away. Their bike slipped, after which the police surrounded them. The miscreants started firing, but in the retaliatory firing by the police, both of them were shot in the leg. The police arrested them and admitted them to the district hospital. Babulal and Golu are accused of killing a person named Gaurav on October 9. The police have recovered illegal weapons, cartridges, and bike from them.
