Jaipur: Other workers, who were agitated over the death of a labourer late Tuesday night at a cement factory in Mundwa police station area of Nagaur district of Rajasthan, pelted stones at the factory demanding compensation and set fire to an ambulance. Thanhikari Baldev Ram Chaudhary informed that Vijender Chaudhary had died of a heart attack in Ambuja cement factory late Tuesday night.
The workers were agitated and pelted stones and set an ambulance on fire when they were not talking about the demand for compensation. The official said that the body of the deceased was handed over to the family after the post mortem on Wednesday when the management and the workers were asked to talk about compensation. He informed that based on the report on behalf of the family of the deceased, information has been filed under section 174 of the CRPC in this regard. Expressing grief over the death of a labourer in the cement factory, Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal has urged Union Ministers Santosh Gangwar and Prakash Javadekar to take cognizance of the matter.
In a tweet, Beniwal wrote, "The death of a labourer at the Ambuja cement plant under construction at Mundwa was reported, according to the labourers, the company is tasked with the oppressive policy day and night and the truth of the said incident is not being conveyed to the labourers and the families of the deceased."
