Lucknow: Videos have gone viral on social media in recent times in which cooks or food vendors spit in it and serve it to customers. A similar latest case has now come to light from Muzaffarnagar, where a man was spitting in a cut watermelon and selling it. The incident took place at Rampuri in kotwali area of the city where a fruit/vegetable seller committed the act. The accused decree has been arrested by the police.
Muzaffarnagar police said, the accused has been arrested and other legal action is being taken by thana Kotwali Nagar police by registering a case under relevant sections. Police registered a FIR on the complaint of a woman from the locality. The incident took place on Monday (May 17, 2021) when Farman was selling vegetables and fells on a cart in Rampuri. At the same time, the video of his actions was recorded on the camera CCTV installed there.
According to the video, Farman suddenly picks up a watermelon and spits on the cut in it. Police have searched for him and arrested him on the complaint of local man Pradeep. The accused sarwat pir thana is a resident of civil line. He was arrested on Tuesday. City Kotwal Yogesh Sharma has confirmed his arrest. Apart from Ghaziabad, Hapur and Meerut, there were cases of spitting on food items in Delhi also.
