Central Zoo Authority (CZA) has already given approval for the construction of zoo and rescue centre. Now the Central Government has released Rs 27 crore for this. The special thing is that wildlife from other states can also be treated in this centre. A big action plan has also been prepared for the conservation and health of tigers, leopards, vultures and other rare wild animals in the Wildlife Hospital and Rescue Centre. Conservator of Forests, Western Circle, Haldwani, Deep Chandra Arya said that the proposed wildlife hospital is also going to be transformed into the first phase of the proposed zoo by making enclosures for the wildlife. After which the Zoo Safari scheme is to be started here in PPP mode. The state government has received all the permissions in this regard.

50 tiger and leopard enclosures to be built:  The boundary wall of the proposed site of the zoo and wildlife hospital has already been completed. The work of completing some departmental formalities remains at the state level. Principal Secretary Forest RK Sudhanshu has said that the work on the construction of Haldwani Zoo and Wildlife Hospital is being completed rapidly. The work of prevention of human-wildlife conflict, which was left incomplete by the earlier Congress government, has been completed by the BJP government. The obstacles to the construction of Zoo and Wildlife Hospital in Gaulapar area of ​​Haldwani have now been removed, work will start soon. With the construction of a wildlife hospital, better treatment will be provided to wildlife like elephants, tigers and leopards. Injured wildlife from other states will also be given treatment here.
