Bangalore: Four foreign nationals were arrested by Bengaluru police in the Jigani area for residing in India illegally. Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara revealed that these individuals had been living in the country for the past ten years and had moved to Bengaluru a year ago.
Minister Parameshwara expressed concern over the intelligence agency's failure to obtain information about the foreigners, questioning, "If they have been here for ten years, why did the intelligence agency not get the information?" He added that the suspects were found in possession of fake Indian passports, emphasizing that a thorough investigation would follow.
Bengaluru Rural SP C.K. Baba confirmed that a case has been registered and that an investigation is ongoing. "We are verifying all the details regarding their stay and the fake Indian passports," Baba stated, assuring that the police are looking into the matter comprehensively.
