New Delhi: In the country's capital Delhi, a 42-year-old woman has accused a youth of raping her and attempting to forcibly convert her. Delhi Police has registered a case in this matter on the complaint of the woman and has started investigation. Delhi Police has informed that a case has been registered under sections 376, 506, 509 and 323 on the complaint of the woman. This case has been registered on April 19 and at present its investigation is going on. 

According to the police, the accused youth has been identified as 32-year-old Ajmat Ali Khan, a resident of Laxmi Nagar. The woman has told that she is a model by profession. She came in contact with Ajmat in the year 2016 through Facebook. The FIR states that Ajmat was a friend of her Kathak dance teacher. That's why she accepted Ajmat's friendship. The woman's husband has passed away and she also has a child. According to the FIR, both of them got into a relationship in the year 2017 after the conversation progressed. The woman alleges that Khan took down her video in an objectionable condition.

The victim also alleges that Khan forcibly tried to convert her, but she refused. The victim belonging to Sikh religion alleges that, 'Khan forcibly asked me to convert to Muslim religion and start following their customs, but I refused to do so. But Khan kept insisting on me that I would have to convert to Islam, wear burqa, offer Namaz five times a day and also keep Roza. After this I decided to break up with him.'

According to the FIR, after the Sikh woman's decision, the accused youth started threatening her that if she did not convert to Islam, he would throw acid on her face and kill her. After this the woman kept distance from the young man. The victim says that Khan also threatened her to make the objectionable pictures viral on social media. But, when the woman ignored it, the youth again threatened her that he would ruin her career. The woman alleges that he used to send her abusive messages on her mobile. 

The woman alleged that on April 2 this year, Khan attacked her in Janakpuri area. He also threatened to bury them alive. On receiving the complaint of the woman, the police have also registered a case of rape. At the same time, the police say that the accused has filed an anticipatory bail petition in the court and has been given protection from the court till May 17. Police said that when he will join the investigation, then his side will also be heard. Further action will be taken only after this.
