Bhopal: The state government has now taken the left step amid demand for an increase in dearness allowance (DA) for state employees in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, the government has decided to lift the 2-year ban on employee increments. The government's order is said to benefit 6 lakh 40 thousand employees and about 30,000 first and second-class officers. In fact, orders have been issued by the Finance Department recently.
As per this order, the employees will be paid arrears of 1st July 2020 and two increments on 1st July 2021 simultaneously in the same month. On the other hand, it is being said that it will put an additional burden of about 250 crores rupees on the Government. Let me tell all of you that after the Central Government increased the Dearness Allowance of its employees to 28 percent, the State Government employees in Madhya Pradesh were also demanding 28% Dearness Allowance. Recently, the Ministry Employees' Union had also staged a protest over the same.
As per the order issued by the Finance Department, the employees will benefit from 1800 to ₹4000, while the salaries of the officers will be increased by ₹10,000. In pursuit of the order given, the benefit of the increment on 1st July 2020 will be imaginarily fixed and paid on 1st July 2021. Let me tell you that the benefit of increment to government employees is given on 1st January and 1st July every year.
