Ballia: Ganga is in spate in Ballia city of UP. The bridge built near the Nauranga Chakki Sampark Marg has been swayed by the waves of Ganga. People have the option of the boat to cross the river and to send their valuables to the city.
If the link is cut off, the village of Navarranga will also be flooded. After that, the boat is the only support for the inhabitants. For years, the village Nauranga which is situated at the bank of Ganga has been far away from development. The inhabitants of the place raised their voices, and they were assured by the leaders. But because of the administrative apathy and indifferent behaviour of the public representatives, the Nauranga is still far from development.
The village is now located right at the mouth of the Ganges, and there is no sign of development. The bridge was the only way to protect the village from going into the lap of the Ganges. The village head Babita Thakur wife of social activist Surendra Thakur has been putting about 2000 sand-filled bags along with the villagers on the Nauranga contact route for two days to save the contact route from the Ganga's havoc. So that water can not spread in the village. The problem of the people in the village has increased further.
