New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has succeeded in arresting Rajwinder Singh, the most wanted accused in the murder of an Australian woman in Queensland, Australia in 2018. Rajwinder Singh had been absconding for the past four years. Queensland Police had announced a reward of One million Australian dollars for the arrest of Rajwinder Singh.  

According to the report, it is alleged that Indian-origin Australian national Rajwinder Singh brutally killed an Australian woman in Queensland, Australia on October 21, 2018, and had been absconding since then. Queensland police had been looking for him for a long time. The accused has been arrested from Karnal in Haryana with the help of intelligence inputs in a joint operation conducted with CBI, Interpol, and Special Cell. Interpol had also issued a Red Corner Notice in connection with the said accused. Along with this, a non-bailable warrant was also issued by CBI and Interpol in India.

The Australian High Commission had announced a reward of One million Australian dollars (about Rs 5.5 crore) on behalf of Queensland police on the arrest of Rajwinder Singh, who brutally murdered an Australian woman, which was the biggest reward ever.
