  • For Serving Police Personnel Candidates: 30 Years (Born between 01-01-1994 to 01-01-2006)
  • For SPO & Volunteer Home Guard (VHG): 40 Years (Born between 01-01-1984 to 01-01-2006)
  • Ex-servicemen: Deduction of service period from the actual age is permissible provided the resultant age does not exceed 3 years above the maximum age limit.

Physical Standard Test (PST):

• For Male Candidates:

  • Height: 5'6" (minimum)
  • Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)

• For Female Candidates:

  • Height: 5'2" (minimum)

• For Gorkha Community & Bot Tribe Candidates: Height relaxation of 2”

Physical Endurance Test (PET):

• For Male Candidates:

  • Long Run: 1600 metres in 6½ minutes
  • Pushups: 20

• For Female Candidates:

  • Long run: 1000 metres in 6½ minutes
  • Shot put (4 kg): 14½ feet in three attempts
