Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, is set to embark on an 11-day Varahi Vijaya Deeksha starting June 26. This spiritual fast, dedicated to Goddess Varahi, will see him consuming only milk, fruits, and water, according to sources from the Janasena Party.
Spiritual Journey
Pawan Kalyan's decision to undertake this Deeksha is aimed at seeking the blessings of Goddess Varahi for the welfare and prosperity of Andhra Pradesh. This isn't the first time he has engaged in such a spiritual endeavor. Last June, he carried out a Varahi Vijaya Yatra, performing rituals to the goddess followed by a similar deeksha.

Productive Discussions
State Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh also attended the meeting, where producers congratulated Pawan Kalyan on his political success. The discussions focused on reducing production costs, improving distribution, and enhancing infrastructure to support the film sector's expansion in the state.
Political Background
Pawan Kalyan, president of the Janasena Party and MLA of Pithapuram, took charge as Deputy Chief Minister on June 19. He oversees portfolios including Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Environment, Forests, Science and Technology, and Rural Water Supply. He took his oath as a member of the Andhra Legislative Assembly on June 12, alongside Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and other legislators.
