Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reached out to flood-affected residents in the YSR Kadapa district on Thursday to offer help and shelter, CMO office said. Reddy saw the devastation wrought by the floods and listened to the victims' complaints. He has promised to provide outsourced jobs and loans to educated youth who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and family members as a result of the Kadapa district's destruction caused by persistent rains and flash floods. The Chief Minister also praised officials and collectors for their efforts in resolving a situation of this nature for the past 13 days and entrusted them with completing routine checks.

While speaking to the residents of Pulapthuru village in Kadapa, Reddy assured them that the victims can get any help they need from the Grama Sachivalayam, and that if they have missed out on any of the state government's flood relief aid, they can inquire about the status of relief funds or services, or file complaints at the Sachivalayam.

"There have been 293 homes destroyed in total. We will make sure that all of the people whose homes have been damaged have a place to live. Victims will receive restitution for their losses Reddy said.

The Chief Minister informed flood victims that they would be compensated for their losses and offered to build a constructed house on about 250 square yards of land for all individuals whose homes had been washed away in the storm.
