New Delhi, September 17 – On the 100th day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third term, Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the country's newfound political stability and assertive foreign policy, marking a significant shift in the past 60 years.
Speaking at a press conference to mark the first 100 days of the Modi government’s third term, Shah highlighted the unprecedented political stability achieved under the current administration. He stated, "After dedicating 10 years to the development, security, and welfare of the poor in India, the people of India gave a mandate to the BJP and its alliance parties. This has brought an environment of political stability in the country and facilitated the execution of impactful policies."
Shah emphasized that for the first time since independence, the world has witnessed a government with a strong stance on India's foreign policy. He detailed various achievements, including the provision of houses, toilets, gas connections, drinking water, electricity, free rations, and health services to millions of Indians. Shah expressed the administration's goal to ensure that every Indian household has a home by the next elections.
Criticizing the previous Congress government, Shah reiterated the current government's strong foreign policy stance. He also praised the Modi administration's efforts in strengthening both internal and external security over the past decade. "In the last 10 years, the Modi government has been successful in establishing a strong India by enhancing security and implementing the New Education Policy, which blends our ancient education system with modern needs and honors regional languages," Shah noted.
Shah highlighted the success of the 'Make in India' initiative, which he claimed has transformed India into the world's most preferred manufacturing hub. He also noted that India has emerged as a global production center, with many countries looking to adopt the Digital India campaign as a model for their own development.
In honor of Prime Minister Modi’s 74th birthday, Shah announced a nationwide initiative where BJP workers will serve the needy from September 17 to October 2. He reflected on Modi's rise from a modest background to becoming the Prime Minister of the world's largest democracy and the global recognition he has received. "PM Modi was born into a poor family and has since become the PM of the largest democracy in the world. He has received the highest honors from 15 different nations, and 140 crore Indians are praying for his long life today," Shah concluded.
