Agartala: Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a big statement about the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya during his visit to Tripura on Thursday (January 5). Amit Shah said that devotees will be able to visit the grand temple of Lord Ram being built in Ayodhya from January 1, 2024. Amit Shah was addressing a public meeting in Tripura, during which he said this.
The Home Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the construction of the Shri Ram Temple. Amit Shah said that since the independence of the country, Congress has been obstructing the construction of the Ram temple in the courts. The Supreme Court's decision in the Ram temple case has come after PM Narendra Modi came to power. After the supreme court's decision, PM Modi performed 'Bhoomi pujan' in Ayodhya on August 5, 2020, for the construction of the Shri Ram temple. Temples of Valmiki, Kewat, Shabri, Jatayu, Sita, Vighneshwar (Ganesh), and Sheshavatar (Lakshman) will also be built in the 70-acre area around Shri Ram Temple.
The first phase of Shri Ram Mandir will be completed on December 30, 2023. After that, it will be opened for devotees. At the same time, the work of the second phase will be completed on December 30, 2024, and the third and final phase work will be completed on December 30, 2025. The construction of the temple is estimated to cost around Rs 1800 crore.
