Alia Bhatt's latest release 'Jigra' is seen struggling a lot in the theatres. The movie was also surrounded by a lot of controversies. At times, the movie benefits from controversies, but this movie has not received the love of the audience since the beginning. Now the movie director Vasan Bala has taken the responsibility of the box office collection of the film himself and said that Alia had trusted him for this movie. So let's know what else the director has said.
Movie director Vasan Bala's movie 'Jigra' did not do well at the box office, he shared his thoughts when asked about Alia Bhatt's movie being the lowest box office opener ever. While speaking to the media, Vasan also said that there is a need to reflect on what went wrong. He continued his point and said that it is his responsibility to perform well at the box office.
Vasan further added, "She is also everybody's first choice. She could have been on the sets of some other movie, but Jigra was not there at that time. So she has to make this choice. And she has trusted me with this choice. So it is my responsibility to do well at the box office, because we are also in the crorebot of filmmaking."
He said, "So I need to consider the US. Something has happened, right? Something has happened, because of which people stayed away, something that they didn't buy, something that made them not feel the need to come to the theatre. If another actor decides to give his time, then you know, it's worth it." Reports say that 'Jigra' earned just Rs 4.55 crore in India on its first day. Before Jigra, Alia's 2014 movie Highway had done less business than this, which also opened to Rs 3.48 crore.
