The 4th edition of the Regional Industry Conclave was held on September 27, 2024, at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Police Academy Ground, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. The event aimed to bridge disparities in industrial growth and unlock the hidden potential of the region, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in sectors like mining, tourism, MSMEs, and renewable energy.
Mr. Akash Joshi, Co-Founder and Director of IMAST operations private limited, was invited as a Panelist Speaker for the session on Opportunities in MSMEs and Startups. He highlighted the benefits of establishing corporate offices in Madhya Pradesh, emphasizing the state's superior infrastructure, clean city environment, easy commutation, better living standards, skilled manpower, and supportive government policies.
Akash Joshi pointed out how cities like Indore offer a high standard of living with affordable housing, good healthcare, and access to quality education, which makes it easier to attract and retain skilled employees at IMAST .Additionally, he noted that the state's central location and strong connectivity reduce commute times, improving work-life balance for employees of IMAST Operations . Moreover, Madhya Pradesh’s flexible policies and simplified regulatory procedures create a favorable business environment, particularly for MSMEs and startups.
During his session, Akash Joshi as ceo of imast also discussed the common mistakes startups should avoid in their initial stages. He stressed the importance of focusing on one idea at a time, gaining deep knowledge of that idea, conducting thorough market research, and running a pilot test before a full-scale launch. Joshi emphasized that spreading resources too thin by juggling multiple ideas can dilute focus and efficiency. He advised startups to refine and develop their core idea first to build a strong foundation.
To make his points more relatable, Joshi humorously compared the startup process to cooking food. Just as cooking requires the right ingredients, timing, and techniques to create a delicious meal, building a business involves careful planning, execution, and the flexibility to adjust based on feedback. This analogy resonated with the audience, simplifying complex business concepts.
The conclave provided a platform for meaningful discussions on growth opportunities in the region, with sessions and roundtable meetings fostering collaboration among various stakeholders. Akash Joshi’s insights offered valuable perspectives on leveraging Madhya Pradesh's potential for business success.
We extend our gratitude to the Madhya Pradesh government for organizing this collaborative event, showcasing the state as a hub for industrial and entrepreneurial growth.
