Adani Group to Invest Rs 2.3 Trillion in Odisha Over the Next Five Years

The Adani Group has announced plans to invest Rs 2.3 trillion in Odisha over the next five years. The investment will focus on power, cement, industrial parks, aluminium, and city gas expansion.

This commitment was made during Utkarsh Odisha 2025, the state's investor meeting. According to a statement from the company, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited (APSEZ), met with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majgi and signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for the investment.

This is the one of largest investments of business commitment made by any Adani group at Utkarsh Odisha 2025, as per the statement. "The facilities will be open to the public soon," the statement added.

In a significant development, the first test flight successfully landed at the Dhamra Airstrip on Tuesday.

On the same occasion, six key projects by Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) were launched in Odisha. These include an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at Bhubaneswar airport and the completion of the City Gate Station cum Mother Station project.

Other projects include the foundation stone laying for an LNG-cum-multi-fuel hub in Bhadrak, a CNG station in Balasore, the first domestic piped cooking gas connection in Bhadrak, and the completion of a CNG station project in Rairangpur, the first in Mayurbhanj district.

Odisha has attracted investment proposals worth Rs20,900 crore in sectors like IT, electronics, semiconductors, data centers, and related industries. Officials say these investments will help drive economic growth and create more opportunities across different regions of the state.
