Bhopal: Record-breaking corona infection patients are being found every day in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Here, the administration is making people aware of corona every day. Every day people here are being told not to be afraid of corona but to avoid it. There are false news and messages about corona being spread on social media by some people and groups. This has clearly shown a tense situation among the people in the city. The Bhopal district administration has made up its mind to take legal action against such people to curb false news and rumors here.

Recently, Bhopal Collector Avinash Lavania has issued orders in this regard. In an order issued, 'No person or group shall send or share or forward any such misleading news, videos, audio, photos, MMS, etc. on media forums (Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Tiktok, Instagram, etc.), which is false and whose facts have not been confirmed, which is derogatory to a community or religion or which create panic or fear and suspicion/kind of situation among the general public.'

Further, it says that the order shall come into effect with immediate effect and any violation of the order by any individual or group shall be dealt with legally under Section 188 of the IPC and other provisions of the Information and Technology Act.
